Activities of Shilpavidyalaya 2023-2024

Examination Activities

  • Half yearly exam for ITI students was held from 29.01.24 to 03.02.24.
  • 19 students of ITI attended Regional Level Skill Test Examination at Tollygunge on 29.02.24
  • AITT Practical Exam 2022-24, 2022-23(1st year) and 2021-23(2nd year) was held on July 2023.
  • CBT EXAMINATION for 2022-24,2022-23(1st year) and 2021-23(2nd year) was held on July to August 2023.
  • AITT Exam 2023, 75 students scored above 70% marks in the examination out of 78 students of 2021-23 pass out batch.
  • AITT Exam 2023, 125 students scored above 70% marks in the examination out of 127 students of 2022-24 batch (2nd year).

Educational Visit

  • A visit to L & T for Training at Salt Lake of Electrician Trade (2022-24) was organized on 24.01.24.
  • An Educational Visit to R.P. Engineering was held on 09.02.24. for 10 students of Fitter (2022-24) trade.
  • Educational Visit for Draughtsman (Mechanical) students (2021-23) to Ichapur Rifle Factory.
  • Educational Visit for Draughtsman (Mechanical) students (2021-23) to Jupiter Engineering Co.
  • Industrial visit to the Kolaghat Thermal Power Station for Electrician 2021-23 batch for 20 students was arranged.

Cultural Activities and others

  • A social program “Sarodiya Utsav” was held at both campuses on 18.10.23.
  • 85 students were volunteers in Durga Puja 2023 at Belur Math from 21.10.23 to 23.10.23.
    100 students participated as volunteers in Sri Sri Jagadhatri Puja at Saradapitha on 21.11.23.
  • 17 students attended All India Youth Convention Program on 25th and 26th December at Belur Math. 30 students participated as volunteers for Youth Convention for 5 days.
  • 30 students participated as volunteers in Bhava Prachar Convention at Belur Math on 30.12.23.
  • 60 students as Volunteers of Tithi Puja of Sri Sri Maa Sarada Devi at Belur Math.
  • On 12th January, 2024 a procession was held visiting Belur Math on account of 40th National Youth Day. All the staff and students of Shilpavidyalaya were participated in the procession and 19 students were participated as volunteer. 15 students recited Swamiji’s Swadesh Mantra on the stage.
  • Flag Hoisting was done at Shilpavidyalaya campus celebrating Netaji’s birthday on 23.01.24.
  • Annual Sports – various events were held on 23.1.24 & 25.01.24
  • 23 Volunteers participated on Tithi Puja of Swami Vivekananda from Shilpavidyalaya on 02.02.24.
  • 72 students participated as volunteers in connection with the Mahasamadhi of Srimat Swami Pravanandaji Maharaj.
  • 102 students were awarded Prizes at Vivekananda Sabhagriha (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav — Short Film Competition)
  • GROUP-DEBATE competition was conducted.
  • Quaker Houghton donated 25 used (high end) lap tops and a small meeting was held.
  • Indepence Day – Flag Hoisting, Speech on Freedom Fighters was given and Tree Planting was done AT Shilpavidyalaya campus.
  • 53 Students participated in “Swami Vivekananda Youth Cell” a monthly orientation program at Saradapitha temple.
  • Vishwakarma Puja was done at Shilpavidyalaya Prayer Hall. ‘Bidarthi Brata Homa’ was done – 84 first year students participated. Prasad was distributed for about 300 people.
  • Convocation Ceremony for 2021-23 batch students was conducted at Vivekananda Sabhagriha. AITT Certificate, Marks Sheet & Prizes for Best Attendance, Best Performance, Best Marks & Debate competition were distributed.Reunion was arranged at Vivekananda Sabhagriha. 200 Ex-students attended the event. ‘Uttaran’ a Souvenir was released commemorating the Centenary of Shilpavidyalaya.
  • 60 Students participated in “Swami Vivekananda Youth Cell” a monthly orientation program at Saradapitha temple.
  • An Exhibition was conducted at Shipavidyalaya Campus. 50 students from Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Welder, Turner, Draughtsman Civil & Draughtsman Mechanincal trades – prepared innovative projects to display their talent.
